This is Kathy and Dexter. Dexter is an older dog, he moves slowly and he has long sunken eyes that gaze into yours from time to time. We spent the day up at Glacial National Park in my neighboring town, Ringwood, which I spend a lot of time at. It’s the go to location for outdoor families to get their family portraits and senior portraits done. I’m very familiar.
So it was an easy choice when Kathy told me she wanted to go somewhere dog friendly, outdoors, and little foot traffic to keep his focus on me. We parked in the back right lot by the big red barn center for guests. A little trail up a steeper hill led us to an open field filled with sunshine and long bright green grass. A beautiful open field with a path cut into it for the locals who use this as a daily walking space.
We found the natural amphitheater and spent our session duration posing around it together. These two can easily steal your heart with their connection. Dexter was a great boy the entire time, he posed for my camera like the star he is. And Kathy served some lovely lemon sundress vibes to go with this bright cheery day. What a happy memory huh? And these turned out so lovely, she definitely cried. Which is my goal as a pet photographer, I want you to feel like I’ve truly seen your connection together and who your pet is.
